Bologna Sightseeing Tour
Discover Bologna!
Any first approach to the town starts from the Main Square, heart of the
most significant events of Bologna over the centuries. The public palaces
Palazzo del Podesta and Palazzo d’Accursio still preserve their medieval
charm. The Basilica di San Petronio with its unfinished facade, where you
can admire the Virgin with Child by Jacopo della Quercia and other important
artworks, is one of the most famous in the world. Further highlights will be
the Fontana del Nettuno, the symbol of the Pope power in Bologna, and Santo
Stefano, also called “the seven Churches”, which has been a centre of
religion ever since the 1st century when a pagan group founded
its temple here dedicated to the goddess Isis. The surrounding beautiful
renaissance square completes the fascinating setting.

Farewell Sightseeing Tour to
Ravenna
For a long time
Ravenna has been the capital of the Western Roman Empire and an outpost of
the Byzantine Empire in Italy. The mosaics that decorate the early Christian
Basilica of San Vitale, the church of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo and the tomb of
Galla Placidia are universally recognised for their extraordinary artistic
value. The
visit will include the Mausoleum
of Galla Placidia,
the Orthodox Baptistry,
the Archiepiscopal Museum
housing the renowned 6th century ivory throne, the Gothic
Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo
and the Arian Baptistry.
All these marvels can be seen simply by taking a stroll through the centre
of Ravenna. During our walk in the pedestrian area you will have a chance to
step into a mosaic workshop, have a rest for a coffee on the main square and
visit the tomb of Dante Alighieri,
Italy's most distinguished poet, who died here in 1321.
